From newsrooms defending democracy to banking apps that just work — if it's a real problem for real people, I want to solve it. Collaboration and a sense of humor help enormously.
I'm a product and UX designer with 15 years of experience, most recently leading design teams at the director level across both B2B and B2C contexts.
I got into design because I believed it could solve real, meaningful problems. I still do. I've spent a significant part of my career in media and journalism — sectors I care deeply about — and I'm increasingly fascinated by what AI means for design and for people.
But here's the thing: every problem is worth solving well. The one that helps a journalist trust an AI tool, and the one that helps someone actually understand their bank statement.
I deeply enjoy leading teams. Instilling the right team culture and opportunities for growth for both individuals and the team overall is something that is endlessly fascinating to me. I don't think titles equate to leadership. Anyone can lead and add value to a team through mentorship. I enjoy adding any kind of value I can and have tried to do this throughout my career. It is a rare privilege to formally manage teams and I consider it a responsibility I do not take lightly.
